Much Love News

Much Love Animal Rescue is seeking a Webmaster/Web Developer for our online rescue site www.muchlove.org. We seek someone with enthusiasm, a creative mind and an innovative spirit to help us maintain, update and continue to grow our online front. We are looking to improve our already successful site and substantially increase traffic. This is an exciting opportunity to help a good cause.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of web graphic design experience and have knowledge of:

*Templating HTML
*Linux
*Apache
*MySQL
*PHP Programming

A love of and desire to help animals is preferred.

Estimated hours would be 5-10 per week. It is a freelance position with very flexible hours.

We require 2 references and a sample of your past work.

Much Love Animal Rescue is run entirely by dedicated, selfless, hard working volunteers. Every day these people give their time to improve the lives of the needy animals in Los Angeles. Every quarter, we recognize a volunteer who has gone above and beyond to bring love and joy to these amazing animals.

For the 1st Quarter of 2008 we would like to recognize Bill Sola!! Bill is technically a foster for our dogs and cats, yet he drives the van, helps out at the adoptions, transports the other animals, takes in dogs and cats when the fosters can’t, and he does all this with a smile! Bill, we couldn’t imagine having Much Love without you as a part of it.

We encourage you to learn more about their Help A Dog Play Another Day program that aids no kill animal shelters across America. Advisory, Pet Boarding, URGENT CNS Network Advisory Eds: VCA animal hospitals throughout Southern California are offering free boarding through Nov. 5 -- on a space available basis -- for animals whose owners have been evacuated or displaced as a result of the firestorms.

Needs people to do 2 to 3 hour shifts at their shelter, walking and feeding dogs and feeding and petting cats. They also need blankets. Call ahead for scheduling. The freeways are open to this location.
