present The 5th Annual BowWowWeen, a benefit for Much Love Animal Rescue and Friends of Barrington Dog Park on Sunday, October 29 at the Barrington
Dog Park in Brentwood, CA from noon to 4 pm.
Dog Costume Contest
Poodle pumpkins? Bulldog ballerinas?
Mix-breed monsters? There’s no telling what grand
and ghoulish get-ups will be found at the always-entertaining
highlight of BowWowWeen: The Doggy Costume Contest.
Dressed to impress pooches of all shapes
and sizes will be honored for the funniest, scariest, and best
owner and doggie duo costume, while one grand prizewinner will
receive the grandest of prizes.
The costume contest will be limited to 100
entrants total: 50 online entries and 50 entries for those that
needed a little more inspiration and time to come up with the
most amazing costume.
Entrants will be judged on originality so
get creative! Cheer on your favorites and help our special
panel of celebrity judges choose the top costumed dogs.
Contest entry fee is $25 per dog.
All entries are eligible for each
category, judges will decide who is the funniest, scariest and
best owner doggie duo.
So enter your decked out dog or just drop
by the contest for what’s sure to be a howling good time.
Other frighteningly fun BowWowWeen
activities and attractions will include: Dog adoptions by
various animal rescue groups; carnival games for kids and
adults alike; a mobile microchip clinic; a doggy masseuse;
expert trainers to answer your questions; vendors displaying
the latest in must-have dog paraphernalia; artists specializing
in animal portraits; food vendors; the Big Dog Sportswear
Children's Bounce House; and an agility demonstration for show
dog enthusiasts.
A Silent Auction will also be held giving
bidders more than a ghost of a chance take home hotel stays at
four star hotels, signed memorabilia from A-list celebrities
and sports figures, walk-on parts on hit television shows, gift
certificates for award-winning restaurants, dog-oriented
services and merchandise gift baskets, sporting event tickets,
and more.
All money raised goes directly to the
animals of Much Love Animal Rescue and to support the
Barrington Dog Park’s renovation efforts.
